Per Glaciem is the a part of the Equus Refractus series.

Per Glaciem is a work about passing through ice. For me, ice is a symbol of solitude and estrangement, but also a space of transformation. Within its cold lies a duality: one may freeze and lose warmth, or one may discover the play of light, the brilliance of crystals, the unexpected beauty of facets.

The horse here embodies inner strength and the striving for freedom — moving forward even within a resistant, crystalline medium. It seems to break through the thickness of ice, turning stillness into energy. For me, this image speaks of how freedom and breath remain alive when passing through solitude and alienation — not destroyed, but changed, becoming clearer, purer, stronger.
