Painting of the Year 2024

Painting of the Year 2024 – A Memorable Experience This year, I decided to take part in the Painting of the Year competition for the first time, and it has been an unforgettable experience. Out of 520 talented artists, I am truly honored to be selected as one of the 40 finalists. The exhibition at Galerie RRMND in Roermond is a wonderful opportunity to showcase my work in a beautiful and inspiring space. The gallery itself impressed me with its atmosphere and professionalism, making this event even more special. I am incredibly grateful to the organizers for creating such a platform for artists worldwide. Being part of this prestigious competition and exhibition is a great honor, and I am beyond happy to share my art with a wider audience.

About My Artwork – “Garden of Soul”

This painting depicts a young woman whose head is covered with numerous veils and draperies, while her chest is replaced by roses and ribbons. A stag beetle is delicately depicted on one of the ribbons. With this artwork, I wanted to express the vulnerability, mystery, and beauty of the female soul. Its depth is revealed through layers upon layers, often hidden beneath daily life and societal roles. Behind all the masks and routines, there lies perfection and fragility—something truly precious. At the same time, every woman needs protection. Her inner garden deserves a guardian, someone who will cherish and safeguard her essence. This painting is a reflection on the delicate balance between strength and vulnerability, as well as the unseen beauty that dwells within.
