MEER-art 2026
On March 28–29, 2026, the art event MEER-art 2026 took place at Dorpshuis Badhoevedorp in the Netherlands. The exhibition was organized by Kunstkring Haarlemmermeer in collaboration with Galerie Kunst 2001 and supported by the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer. The official opening was attended by representatives of the local government, highlighting the importance of the event for the cultural life of the region.
More than 25 artists participated in the exhibition, presenting works in a wide range of media including painting, drawing, ceramics, glass, photography, and jewelry. Visitors could also watch artists working live, offering a rare opportunity to observe the creative process in real time.
Artist Nadiia Zhebrakovska exhibited three artworks exploring the theme of the horse, a central motif in her artistic practice, focusing on movement, light, and expressive form.
A distinctive feature of MEER-art is its interactive format, encouraging dialogue between artists and the public. Throughout the weekend, visitors were invited to participate in free creative workshops such as ceramics, gelliplate printing, recycled art, and portrait drawing. The program also included educational initiatives for children, including the Kidz & Kunzt project presenting artworks created by local school students.
The event concluded with the announcement of the jury prize and the audience award, celebrating outstanding works selected by both professionals and visitors.
MEER-art 2026 became a vibrant meeting point for artists, audiences, and the local community, highlighting the role of accessible and participatory art in the cultural landscape of Haarlemmermeer.
