This year, I attended Inspiration Day for the first time—and it was an amazing experience!

The atmosphere at Paddock Paradise, de Paardenkamp felt like it was made for artists: open fields, freely roaming horses, and a deep sense of harmony with nature. The day started with a light mist, adding a mysterious touch to the landscapes—perfect for those who love capturing atmospheric photos. Later, the sun broke through the clouds, warming us with its spring light—ideal conditions for sketching outdoors. The event was perfectly organized. Joyce had thought of every detail: time for socializing, opportunities for learning, and, of course, long sketching sessions. A special highlight was the guest session with renowned photographer Arnd Bronkhorst, who shared his expertise in capturing horses through the lens. But above all, it was the people who made this day truly special. Talented artists, united by their love for art and horses, effortlessly connected, shared insights, discussed their work, and inspired one another. And the horses themselves—they always bring a unique energy. We didn’t just sketch them; we interacted, felt their presence, and even shared a few affectionate moments. This day left me with so much inspiration and warmth. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
